The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus also popularly known as the Victoria Terminus, is a railway station which was built in the year 1878 and is also marked as the UNESCO world heritage site. Mumbai is not too much of all the historic buildings and monuments and CST or the Victoria terminus is one of them and in India, it marks one of the biggest historic events.

The CST was first a normal railway station which was limited between Bori Bandra railway station in the year 1853. Later in 1878, the railway station was known as the Victoria terminus.
The station was built by F.W Stevens, and the rule of Queen Victoria was going on and so, the name Victoria terminus.
It is said that it took them over 10 years to complete this railway station project. That time this structure was named the most expensive structure as the expenditure on this was about 260,000 sterling pounds.
It is more than 130 years that the Victoria terminus stands tall, it was in 1996 that then railway minister renamed the Victoria Terminus to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus or commonly known as CST.
The best to visit Mumbai would be to avoid the rainy season, the rainy season always makes things tiresome and gruesome and the time flexibility is not available and hence it applies to all over Mumbai visiting so does it apply to visit Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
June to August months the best time to avoid, the best time would be months from September to January- March during the winter or summer seasons.
Visit the terminus during the night when the whole structure lights up and makes the scenario a treat to the eyes.
On Republic day the structure is lit up and decorated accordingly and is a mesmerizing view. For anyone to view the architecture in detail avoid the peak hours of the day as there is a hustle in and around which makes it quite impossible to endure the beauty of the monument.
By train, it is easier as almost every ongoing train has a CST stop. From the suburban or other stations in the part of the city.
By road, one can always take a rickshaw or cabs or any private transports available in and around to reach the CST or Victoria terminus
By road one can come from the NH2, NH3, NH4, NH8, NH17 or other highways lead directly to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
As CST is a crowded place you may find many street foods available around CST, street food of Mumbai is what everyone craves all across the country.
Bhruji pav or the missal pav is very famously known for the Mumbai style street food will be available, Kanda Bhaji, Pav Bhaji, Parotha bhaji stalls.
