When she heard the news about Sam’s mother, Judy, Brad, she started following Kitchen on Facebook. On top of the infinite love for all things, Brad and Sam also share a similar heart story. She responded to one of Brad’s Facebook posts about her son:
You are my 8 year old son Sam Hero. Sam has LTGA, VSD pulmonary stenosis and spent 236 days in stool in 2017/18 and waited 2 years for a heart transplant. Like you, Sam also wants to be a chef.
It’s No Brain – Sam was invited to a one-on-one cooking class at Brad and Leon Kitchen. When the two meet, the young chef-to-b is trembling with wide-eyed and enthusiasm. Sam was gifted with his own chef jacket, and Fast Friends cooked a storm and served a delicious meal to Judy and Lianne.
When Brad was a teenager, he remembered telling his parents he wanted to be a chef. He was told that this type of career would be very challenging for those with his condition. After a long time in life he finally cooked for a living and started his own business. On September 1, Brad Sam had to say, ‘Yes you are Can Become a chef. You can be what you want to be ‘.
