Know the History of Golconda Fort
The Golconda Fort was built almost 900 years ago on a hilltop in Hyderabad by the Rajah of Warangal. It carries multiple names “Shepherd’s Hill”, “Golla Konda” but it was originally called “Mankal”. Built by the Kakatiyas and later restored by Rani Rudrama Devi this Fort is the house to almost the entire world’s most famous diamonds including the Kohinoor.
