The Main Monument of Hanuman Statue of Mounagiri
The Hanuman Statue of Mounagiri has the main monument located in the middle of the temple which is of 39 feet (approximately 12 metres) in height. It is made of a single stone.

Ekasila – A Single Stone
In this place, the Lord Hanuman is called as Abhayanjayaneya Swamy. It means Lord Hanuman is the deity of tremendous power, wisdom, and great courage. The humongous statue is of 39 feet and weighs around 150 tons.
Monolithic Sculpture

This is all how it started
In 1999, when Sri Eshawaraiah Swamy was going through Ashokasiddapura, a village in Molokalmuru Taluk of Chitradugra District in Indian State of Karnataka, has got a vision in his dream. He got that particular dream after 20 days Tapasya, a Sanskrit word which means generation of heat and energy through spiritual discipline with deep meditation.
In this vision, the Lord Hanuman asked him to establish a statue which will for sure brings a great pride and popularity to that place as well as throughout the nation.
The mode of construction is unbeliavable
It is really hard to believe that this whole structure which is being built of single stone did not involve any machinery. The whole process was completely constructed using manual labor only. No mechanism or machinery was used to construct this structure.
However, since 1999 from when the construction was started, in 2007, the statue was not able to withstand and tumbled down. During this time, a 90-year-old man from Bangalore, Sri Ramanatham Garu, visited this place saying that he had a dream about it and in his dream he was asked to help erect the statue again. It took about a year long for Sri Ramanatham Garu and his team to erect the statue again.
