This week, travel startups announced funding of over 2,212 million.
>>Travel Perk, Barcelona-based travel booker and management company closes $ 160 million funding round. It has doubled its previous rounds combined since it was founded in 2015. Skift’s corporate travel editor Matt Parsons has a story: TravelPerk will be further into US territory with a boost of US $ 160 million.
>>Guest, A software manufacturer for short-term rental managers, has raised $ 50 million for Series D Round funding. Initially Apox led the digital fund round, with AMI Opportunities Fund and others also participating.

>>Stemway, A manufacturer of contactless technology for hotels, received about 45 1.45 million (€ 1.2 million) injections.
The Spanish company was a huge success in February when it hired the French giant Acar brand as the company that provides mobile key technology. Steamway hopes to cover 50,000 rooms by 2021 and expand to half of the 800,000 rooms in the Acar Network worldwide in the next five years.
Stay Mimi’s technology allows hotel guests to access their rooms without stopping at the front desk. Guests take their and their passport or another identity card using their smartphone.
The company uses technology to verify the identity of the guest and give the room a key. That said, its technology is compatible with most locks used by hotels. Lodging providers get a mobile key lock update kit. Charges a monthly fee for the opening room.
Stay Myway was launched in 2014 in Murcia, Spain.
>>TripAbroad, A startup focused on helping families book travel, has raised 3 1.3 million (approximately £ 1 million) from seed funds from angel investors since its launch in September 2020.
Alexan-Maria Rothbone Barker, former head of European analytics for Bloomberg, and Ketan Anand, former engineering lead at Lloyds Banking Group, founded the UK company in 2019. Its supporters include former C-Suite executives from Barclays, American Express, Expedia and Hertz.
The company said the startup’s Family Travel Assistant, Sky, seeks to effectively guide customers through the logical process and through the discovery and booking stages of obtaining relevant information.
>>Obese photography, Mainly provides photographers to tourist destinations for married couples, has received an unknown round of investment from the Xiamen utility fund, which is part of a China resource. Chinatravelnews Reported.

We define a startup as an organization formed to test and build a recurring and scalable business model. Some companies have that definition. Venture capital is a rarity that often attracts. Their funding rounds come in waves.
Seed capital The money used to start the business, is often led by angel investors and friends or family.
Series A. Financing is usually taken from venture capitalists. Startup entrepreneurs aim this round to make sure their product customers really want to buy.
Series b Financing is primarily about venture capitalist firms, helping a company grow faster. These fundraising rounds help recruit skilled workers and develop cost-effective marketing.
Series c Financing is the process of helping a company expand through acquisitions. In addition to visas, hedge funds, investment banks and private equity firms are often involved.
Series d, E and beyond This round of primarily mature businesses and funding helps a company prepare to go public or earn. A variety of private investors can participate.
