Nehru zoological park started in the year 1959, it was after a while in the year 1963 when it was out to open for the public to visit.

After many years of the opening and a successful visit by people, Nehru zoological park had some changes in it they introduced a lion safari in the year 1974, and then again in the year 1982 there was an introduction of the nocturnal animal house.

The Nehru Park was built with one objective to save and breed more of the endangered species in the Deccan plateau region. Other than this it was built for kids and adults to be educated about the wildlife in India, the Deccan Plateau region, India.

There is boating available inside the Nehru Zoological Park, in the lake Mir Alam lake. It is a massive lake ensuring the beauty of the aqua animals to be endured by people in their boat ride. There are speed boats and normal ailing boats.

There is also a separate children’s park where there are swings and slides for kids to enjoy.

There is a separate aquarium in the Park where there are exotic numbers of aquatic animals colorful and different types of fishes.

The nocturnal house of animals is a very special place in the whole Nehru zoological park due to its very special day and night turn of events. The events of day and night have been reversed for night animals like bats, owls, loris, civets, cats, and more to be active during the day time for the animals to be active. The ticket for kids is Rs10 and adults Rs 20.

Zoo Park Hyderabad Entry fee and timings

The Zoo Park Hyderabad is opened from 8 am to 5:30 pm from the months of April-June and from July to March the gates of the zoo are open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The ticket counters are open from the opening of the gates until 4:30 pm one hour before the closing time of the zoo.

The zoo park Hyderabad is open from Tuesday to Sunday, it is a mandatory holiday on all Mondays of the month.

There is an extra entry fee that one must pay to enter the zoo park Hyderabad kids have a fee of Rs 30 during weekdays and Rs 40 during the weekends and adults must pay Rs 50 during weekdays and Rs 60 during the weekends.
