Know the History of Talakona Waterfalls
Talakona waterfalls name is derived from tala meaning head and Kona meaning hill. It is next to the Talakona temple and hence is also named after the temple.
It has a temple which is known as the Siddeshwara Swamy temple, the temple is about 140 years old. There is a Shiva Linga which was brought from the ruins of Rayavaripalli temple.
A long time ago people believed in bringing ruins of temple god or goddesses and praying for the same instead of getting a new piece or statue and hence this Shiva Linga was brought from the ruins of Rayavaripalli temple which can till today be seen from the grounds of Lingaakaaram kaada kaaya.
